The City of Glendale’s entry in the annual Rose Parade brings
together the residents of Glendale to support and decorate a float that celebrates what makes Glendale the Jewel City and
to herald our city to the world!
Proposed 2010 Glendale Rose Parade Float: America's Pride
Glendale, which first entered a float in the parade in 1911, holds the distinction of being the second-oldest
continuous entry in the Rose Parade. 2010 will mark Glendale's 96th entry in the parade.
Glendale’s entry in the annual Rose Parade is funded substantially by
private contributions. In fact, more than half of the cost of the float is donated.
Formed in 1978, the Glendale Rose Float Association is responsible for recommending
the design of Glendale's entry in the annual Rose Parade, decorating the float, and raising funds for construction and
decoration. It is an independent association and is not a government agency. The Association raises funds for the float through
memberships, donations, and special events.
